The first round of chapters for my WIPs was supposed to be out on September 1st, but my mental health took a nosedive. So, I focused on getting a ton done and scheduling them out for you guys instead, and then I focused on a passion project. It was a wild novella to work on, but it was so much fun!
Now that everything is all caught up, I’ll be better on top of things.
I hope you guys enjoy and I’ll be back at the end of the month for a more detailed update ❤︎
So there you have it, lovelies! Both Knot Happening and Blood Typed are in the wild!
The next stop for them is getting the paperbacks all set.
So what’s next for me?
Well, I’m launching a new membership option! I am going to be posting my WIPs chapter by chapter with six running WIPs. There will be about four chapters released a day, Sunday through Thursday. Members will get to read those chapters before they are released for free and see exclusive content here on the blog! I have so many plans for these stories, and I’m SO excited to share them all with you guys!
I have the official release dates for Blood Typed and Knot Happening: August 15.
Here is a preview of the character art!
Blood Typed
Knot Happening
Its been a busy month for me but the update will be short and sweet:
Knot Happening and Blood Typed are finished! They were sent to the editors so they will be officially released soon!
I’m super excited for you all to meet Darcy and Cora 🥰
Hi there, lovelies! So, I’ve decided on a structural change on the site. I’m thinking of adding a subscription membership to get the WIP chapters a week earlier. Now, after that week of early access is over, it will be available for everyone to read for free, and having an account isn’t necessary. I figured this would be a great way to show support while getting exclusive first looks.
As for writing;
– Blood Typed is in the thick of things! I’m working hard to get this out to you guys ASAP. I also have an artist working on the character art to be included, so Haides should be out in the next two weeks, and Cora is a WIP. Also, this may or may not be transforming into a series of standalones so if you guys want more, I’ll get the cover reworked to make it into a series but for now it will remain a standalone until I’m caught up on my WIPs. I can feel the other stories but I also don’t want to hold back on publishing especially since this story arc will be completed by the end of the book.
– I’m putting a hiatus on the Thirst Trap extra scene and an extra novella featuring Orpheus/Hadrian’s relationship. This book was such a labor of love, and it came out around the time my life hurt to live, so diving back into that universe isn’t the greatest decision for my mental health at the moment. I love it, but it hurts to really think about.
– Updates on Knot Happening will come with the bigger update so I didn’t forget about it! I know this isn’t what everyone was hoping to hear (me included) but its not too far away from being finished.
In the words of Sleep Token, “I’m a waking hell, and the gods grow tired.” I’m tired of not getting things out to you guys and I’m tired of my executive dysfunction. I know my spirit team is tired of it too.
I have a huge update in the works that will be released outside of the monthly update schedule, so be on the lookout! I’m so excited!
Things are about to go turbo speed. Brace yourselves.
I want to thank everyone who has read Thirst Trap so far. I never expected this big of a feedback from my book! I have exciting news, the paperback is live and with beautiful formatting. I have noticed that the printer I use for my website makes the black parts darker so everything blends better but Amazon did a great job as well! So if you’re interested feel free to pick up a copy here, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble (the website at least haha, you can always ask your local B&N to stock it for you!). It is also available for libraries to pick up wholesale via Ingram Sparks 🫶
Life updates: The great aunt I mentioned in my previous monthly post, where she was misdiagnosed as being on death’s door, has passed this month. Along with my great aunt, my cousin also passed. So these were pretty hard pills to swallow. 2024 sucks ya’ll.
But on a brighter note: I have welcomed a kitten in my home! My cousin’s cat had kittens and it felt right to add the kitten she was trying to find a home for to our family. Meet Andromeda! Also nicknamed Drama and Andy. She was born Jan 20th and is a force to be reckon with haha and she has thumbs!!
Well today I said goodbye to one of my cats, Norman. Last night Norman started to pant and couldn’t use his hind leg. I brought him to the veterinary hospital this morning and he was diagnosed with blood clots in his leg and fluid around his lungs. Upon discussing it with the vet the most humane thing was to euthanize him to ease his pain rather than putting him through a surgery that didn’t guarantee his survival and if he did survive a very short life expectancy after I brought him home.
Norman was honestly the sweetest cat I’ve ever met who always brought joy to the ones who were blessed to see him. He also shared my bed at night. His favorite treat was bacon and french fries. Some of the nicknames I gave him so often it’s a mystery he still remembered his real name haha were: nomnom, nomin, sweet boy, honey bunny, bunny, and bunny boy.
I’m also trying to hear back from my great aunts. Both are in the hospital. One might not make it through the night and one is in the ER for not eating the last few days and being super sick with a cold.
This week just started and it’s rocked my world. Thank you everyone who took the time to read my stories the last few weeks. I’m going to go offline for a few days and throw myself into something productive.
Edit 3/5: we found out my aunt is actually fine. They misdiagnosed her 🙄 I’m super happy that she’s going to be okay and she is in fact, not dying with hours left to live, but jeez how can they misdiagnose someone that badly??
