Hi there!

My name is Anna, and I’m the face behind the pennames Quinn Hawthorne and Mae Celeste. Feel free to call me by my pennames, too; I don’t mind! I created the Quinn Hawthorne penname to house my why-choose stories and my Mae Celeste penname for my monogamous stories. However, I have two stories planned for them to co-write, which will be menage stories.

You may wonder why I’ve decided to post my stories for free everywhere. The answer? Well, I’m fucking tired. I’m tired of trying to fight pirates, looming deadlines, battling my mental illnesses, paywalls, worrying if Amazon will close my account at a moment’s notice, worrying about the accessibility of people being able to read my stories, and trying to overcomplicate the reason why we are both here: enjoying the story.

The last time I enjoyed reading and writing without worrying about anything, including paying, was fanfiction. So, that is how I’ll be publishing my stories: chapter by chapter, free and easy for anyone to read and enjoy (just be sure to note which version the chapter is when reading. Some will be posted before professional eyes have glanced at it so will include typos and grammatical mistakes). Now, don’t worry. I WILL be publishing them on every vendor I can when completed and professionally edited, but you can only get them free on my website. There will also be print available when completed, which will also be available on as many vendors as I can put them on.

Now, just because the ebooks will be free and easy to access, don’t you think I will treat it any less than if I were any other indie author with a publishing schedule, deadlines, etc. I will be getting my stories professionally edited, formatted, and fine-tuned. I will pay (and, in most cases, already paid) artists for artwork and covers. I will also be focusing on advertisement and social media content as well. I will eventually even get my stories made into audiobooks, which will also be easily accessed.

Now, what I can’t promise you: dates.

I have ADHD, general anxiety, OCD, chronic depression, and panic attacks. Some days it’s hard to get out of bed, sleep, or even function. I also live in a high-stress household that includes my grandma, who has rapidly declining Alzheimer’s alongside diabetes, and my aunt, who is the grandma to five kids under six (including twin girls who were born only in the middle of last year) so her daughter constantly needs her help which includes them coming over the house or calling my aunt away leaving me to be the main caretaker for my grandma. On top of everything, I have a 40-hour-a-week day job as well. Now, I’m not totally raw dogging this workload haha, I have therapy sessions with a professional twice a week and am medicated for my depression, anxiety, ADHD, and panic attacks.

However, I CAN promise I don’t easily give up on stories, so if it takes me a while to update it: don’t worry. If I do give up, I will definitely make it known.

The only thing I ask of you is, if you do read my stories, to leave a review or comment and share with a friend. Also, if you really enjoy my work and want to support me, I have different ways to donate, such as sending me a Kofi, Venmo, Cash App, or Paypal. You can also do a pay-what-you-want option for any of the ebooks in my shop (but of course, you can set it to $0 if you just want the file).
